About Me
Mario Penge
I was born in the 1960’s in Rome and moved to Horley, Sussex near Gatwick in 1971.
After leaving school and spending a year learning the catering trade, I opened my own successful Italian Restaurant in Burgess Hill in the county of West Sussex.
After successfully trading we decided to sell the restaurant in 1987, and began working for an import and export wine company based in London.
In the nineties my two children were born; Alessandro (19 years) and Annalisa (15 years), and after building an Italian division in the Hallgarten Group, I decided to leave the company and start my own company Vini Italia Limited.
I have gained an enormous amount of knowledge and experience in buying and selecting wines for importing and then marketing in the United Kingdom.
I am enthusiastic, full of energy and not afraid to make mistakes.
I enjoy learning about wines, sport and socialising with family and friends. I enjoy cooking, dancing and music.
I am an Arsenal supporter and an overall supporter of AC Milan in Italy.
